Richard D. Crawford
Chairman
Dick Crawford has had a long and distinguished career as a corporate executive, entrepreneur and academic. His corporate career included positions with Citigroup, Wells Fargo, and Dean Witter. After leaving the corporate world, he became an entrepreneur starting three companies and became an active angel investor making several personal investments and founding two angel groups including the Virginia Active Angel Network and CAV Angels where he is currently Chairman Emeritus (www.cavangels.com). Academically, he has been an adjunct faculty member at the University of Virginia from 1988 to 2017 teaching at the Darden Business School, the Law School and the Engineering School. He is the author of five books on economics and investment and holds three degrees from the University of Virginia including a B.A. in Economics, an M.B.A. and a J.D.
